Bio:<p>I graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in 1997 and have worked full time as a Massage Therapist since then. I have worked in many different settings as a practitioner including doctor's offices, fitness centers, with sports teams and in private practice. The longest stint I spent working as part of the Minnesota-based <span class="nanospell-typo">Allina</span> Health Penny George Institute for Health and Healing which I joined in 2005 and worked as part of the inpatient care team at Abbott <span class="nanospell-typo">Northwestern</span> Hospital from 2005-2016. I then worked in the Allina Health clinic in Minnetonka, MN for the next two years working with patients with high levels of medical complexity and in various states of health. In 2018 I retired from full time practice and transitioned to teaching as a full time faculty member and Massage Therapy Program coordinator with Harper College in Palatine, IL. I am Nationally Board Certified and a state Licensed Massage Therapist in both WV and IL, as well as being certified in Orthopedic massage (with Whitney Lowe) and Pregnancy massage (with Elaine <span class="nanospell-typo">Stillerman</span>). And while I no longer see clients myself, it is a priviledge and honor to help students learn about and find a passion for this profession that has given me so much.</p>
