Welcome to Old Mechanicsville Health Spa! When you enter my space, you are my family. Every color, every piece of furniture, every plant was selected to bring about the tranquility I want you to feel as my guest.

My goal here is simple: I want to help others be pain free, relaxed, and happy to be alive. I want you to love yourself more!

I am a healer, one who mends others. I use a whole-person approach. When I meet a new client, we will discuss diet, activities, sleep cycles. I want to make sure I am given all the necessary data to truly understand what brings my clients in and how I may best serve.

I began attending the American Institute of Massage (now called the Lotus School of Integrated Professions), under the instruction of the famous Joseph Schibner in 2005, taking my national exam in 2006 to become State-licensed. I have taken over 6,000 hours-worth of continuing education since that time in various massage techniques. My favorite types of massage to perform, however, are sports massage, trigger point therapy, and western style table Thai massage. In 2008, I began attending Trinity College of Natural Health, and received the designation Certified Natural Health Practitioner in January 2009.

I began attending the American Spirit Institute in 2017, under the instruction of Melissa Deaton (local Aesthetician rock star, with over 25 years of experience), taking my state boards in January 2018 (which I passed with a score of 93), and receiving the designation Licensed Aesthetician. My passion for skincare came from dealing with my own adult acne after being diagnosed with celiac disease in 2010 and coming to the realization that my body wasn’t properly absorbing nutrients, which was causing my skin issues, along with other problems. Because of what I went through, I made it my mission to help people with autoimmune disorders and the related skin problems. I know that I have found my true calling when I see the sparkle back in my client’s eye, and know they are now confident in their skin and body. I love all aspects of the Spa & Wellness Industry, but I consider my specialties to be migraine relief, sciatica relief, TMJ syndrome relief, wax hair removal, and the treatment of autoimmune disorder-related skin problems. I founded my first business, Old Mechanicsville Health Spa, in August 2011, in one rented room. Old Mechanicsville Health Spa now occupies a historic fully rehabbed building, employs 1 other licensed Aesthetician, 3 other licensed massage therapists, and our menu boasts a variety of unique treatments.
