For patients who come to me with pain conditions, I use a quick postural analysis to detect muscular and structural imbalances in their body, i.e. tilts, rotations, etc. This analysis often suggests a place for me to start the process of how best to treat the patient. I use effective, highly focused neuromuscular massage techniques to release muscular imbalances and restore symmetry. I do this with minimum discomfort to the patient, who provides feedback throughout the treatment. According to Roger Sperry, PhD, the Nobel prize winning neuropsychologist:“Better than 90% of the energy output of the brain is used in relating the physical body in its gravitational field. The more mechanically distorted a person is, the less energy available for thinking, metabolism and healing.” In addition to pain relief, many clients come to me to de-stress and to relax. I am well experienced in providing the atmosphere, the longer medium to deep massage strokes and the body knowledge to deliver a truly relaxing treatment.I also practice Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage - a wonderfully relaxing, spiritually uplifting massage experience.My clients are mostly adult males and females, their ages range from 21 to 84. I have treated the children of my clients who are as young as 8 years old. My longest running client has been with me for 10 years, and is 84 years old. She originally came to see me for low back pain and sciatica pain resulting from a scoliotic lumbar spine. She gets great benefits from her weekly massages and can now better manage her low back pain; her sciatica pain has been reduced dramatically.
